Zendaya Engaged? And Other Stand-Out Moments from the 82nd Golden Globes

The biggest gem of the night at the 82nd Annual Golden Globes was on Zendaya’s left hand.

The Challengers star and producer posed on the red carpet in a signature Louis Vuitton ball gown and a large sparkling diamond ring. Many speculate that the 2025 Golden Globes nominee is engaged to long-time boyfriend Tom Holland.

The two forged a friendship on the set of their 2016 movie Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and have reportedly been a couple since 2021.

The awards ceremony kicked off with a win for Zoe Saldaña in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture category—her first Golden Globe on her first nomination—for her work in Emilia Perez. She brought her mother as her date.

“My heart is full of gratitude,” the actress gushed through tears and thanked the Golden Globes for honoring the women of Emilia Perez. Later in the evening, EBONY spotted Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara shaking hands with the newly minted Golden Globe winner.

Wicked, starring EBONY cover star Cynthia Erivo, won for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, a new award recognizing blockbusters that, as the night’s presenter Vin Diesel put it, “Unite us globally.”

Golden Globes Cecil B. DeMille Award winner Viola Davis presented the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama category. Watson star Morris Chestnut lit up the stage dressed in a head-to-toe orange ensemble by House of Gray as he presented the Best Screenplay for a Motion Picture award. Other presenters included The Six Triple Eight‘s Kerry Washington, Anthony Mackie, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Golden Globes nominee Colman Domingo and Zoë Kravitz.

Yes, that smooth voice you heard announcing all the presenters at the Globes was Entertainment Tonight host Kevin Frazier.
