Wing Luke Museum showcases the art & resilience of Japanese American painters

Kenjiro Nomura, Takuichi Fujii, and Kamekichi Tokita were renowned Seattle artists in the early part of the 20th century whose lives and careers were forever changed by the mass incarceration of Japanese American citizens during World War II. In recent years, the artistic achievements of these three important artists have been brought back into the light and Side by Side is the largest exhibition ever of their paintings from the 1930s. See the exhibit now at the Wing Luke Museum. More information: https://www.wingluke.org/sidebyside
