Hollywood Squares is back! The classic game show will feature some very familiar faces. Executive producer Jesse Collins, who produced the 93rd Academy Awards broadcast in 2021, says a diverse talent cast in the squares is the key to representing different fan bases, attitudes and points of view. “But, at the same time, everybody is under the bucket here to have fun. We’re fortunate that that translated on camera.” New host Nate Burleson is bringing his fashion flyness to the screen. “I am going for the title of Best Dressed Game show host, and I’m willing to challenge anybody out there, so I have to make sure I showed up and showed out every single episode.” Catch the new Hollywood Squares on CBS.
Gail Bean joins the cast of her new film Both Eyes Open, a psychological thriller about a woman haunted by hallucinations of her abusive ex-boyfriend. “I would describe Ally’s situation as an opportunity to redefine the image of a survivor. She’s on a healing journey that will show herself and others just how resilient she is,” says Bean, who stars with Taye Diggs, Joy Brunson, Tristan Mack Wilds and more. Her most shocking moment on set? When Wilds, who plays her ex, was banging on a door. “That scared the crap out of me. We were all in the heat of the moment, and it was just really intense. We didn’t rehearse for me to know how aggressive or powerful his presence would be, so on the day, he was all in and super frightening.” Both Eyes Open is in theaters on January 17.
