This video features a few samples of the photography of Jack Delano who was a photographer for the Farm Security Administration in the late 1930s and early 1940s. In 1941 he journeyed to Greene County in Georgia where my mother was born and raised and took photos of both black and white inhabitants of the rural farming communities. In this video, I feature only photos of African Americans, but the link is below of the entire collection.
