A lot of people joke (well, maybe it’s not a joke) about needing a cocktail to make it through family gatherings like Thanksgiving. While a drink or two might take off the edge for some, people who want to stay sober have just as many options for fun drinks to join in on the festivities.

If you’re newly sober or if you’ve been abstaining from alcohol for years now and just want to try something new, check out our list of Thanksgiving mocktails that will take your dinner to another level!

Bailey’s Mocktail by The Mindful Mocktail

Ingredients

▪️3/4 cup milk of your choice (I used regular full cream milk)
▪️1 espresso shot, (instant coffee/decaf method below)
▪️1 teaspoon maple syrup
▪️1-2 drops vanilla extract
▪️1/2 teaspoon cocoa or 1 teaspoon chocolate sauce/topping
▪️1 tablespoon cream (I used heavy/thickened cream)

You can leave as is, or add these optional ingredients for an extra indulgent sip (highly recommend):
▪️1 tablespoon condensed milk
▪️1 teaspoon caramel sauce

Keep in mind Baileys is made with whiskey, so you can add 1oz non-alcoholic whiskey to this if you have some – I honestly love it without but it does step it up a notch 🤎

Method

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with a few cubes of ice and shake well. Serve over ice.

Tips:

To make an espresso shot with instant coffee: mix 2 teaspoons instant coffee with 1 tablespoon boiling water. Use decaf if you wish. Cool before using.

Serving more than 1? Just increase the quantities and mix in a blender instead of a shaker.

Not a coffee fan? Just add half the listed amount!
