“Past the Fog” / “Wild Hog in the Woods” written by Leo Shannon / Traditional, Arranged by The Onlies

The Onlies are Samantha Braman (fiddle, guitar, vocals), Leo Shannon (fiddle, guitar, mandolin, piano, vocals), and Riley Calcagno (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, piano, vocals). The three friends have been playing with each other since they were babies. They began busking together at Northwest Folklife and formed their acoustic Celtic-grass band in 2008. All ‘only’ children who grew up attending the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes, they are freshmen at Garfield High School.

MORE MUSIC @ THE MOORE (MM@M), produced by STG’s Education and Community Programs Department, is a training and performance program that provides talented young artists (ages 13-21) with the tools and setting to rehearse and perform music under the direction of industry mentors and professionals. We were thrilled to welcome Meshell Ndegeocello as the Music Director of the 12th annual MM@M.
In 2013, over 150 musicians auditioned to be a part of the program, and the standard was higher than ever. The 35 performers in the 2013 More Music @ The Moore mixed up an eclectic array of global and popular styles: from Taiko Drums to rock to Funk to Beatboxing to R&B, and more. These musicians represent the future of music in Seattle and we were so proud to present them at the historic Moore Theatre.
