David Massey made history in 1992 as the first-ever black producer, to be nominated for an Oscar for a live-action short film. He has successfully produced and directed several films and television shows.
Now, he’s telling a story about Africa that hasn’t been told before in his new short film, “Passage.” Its story set in 1600 west Africa that takes viewers on a journey through the eyes of a village leader.
Massey joined “Start Your Day”’ with host Mike Hill to talk about the production and story behind his latest work.
