Every Tyler Perry Production That’s Coming In 2025 (So Far)

Every time we turn around, Tyler Perry has a new series in development/production/on air.

His latest? Perry is dropping Doing Life with All American: Homecoming‘s Naomi Baker and The Six Triple Eight star Jay Reeves, an upcoming Netflix film. It’s part of Perry’s ongoing deal to produce projects for the streamer this year.

Deadline says that Doing Life is “a gritty and gripping urban drama that explores the life of a single mother fighting for survival and a reformed ex-con with untapped talents who forge an unexpected bond.”

Too heavy for you? Perry is also treating us again to one of his most cherished characters with Madea’s Destination Wedding. Learning that her great-niece Tiffany is engaged to a rapper and the wedding is in two weeks, Madea and her crew head to the Bahamas, and yes, hilarity ensues. Perry writes, directs, produces and stars.

His new TV series, She the People, casts Terri J. Vaughn as Antoinette Dunkerson, a new lieutenant governor who is dealing with a sexist and condescending governor. She also has to keep her family in line since they are now in the public eye.

Perry is also bringing the drama film Straw to the masses. Starring Taraji P. Henson and Sherri Shepherd, the story follows a single mother who faces a series of unfortunate events that lead her down an unexpected and entangled path. Glynn Turman, Sinbad and Rockmond Dunbar are also featured in the ensemble cast.

If gritty drama is not your thing, Perry’s also behind the faith-based feature R&B, in partnership with producer DeVon Franklin. The story revolves around a young woman who escapes the Atlanta music scene to care for an elderly widowed woman. She discovers a new relationship and the mother figure she never had. The film stars Serayah McNeill, Tyler Lepley, Phylicia Rashad, Jermaine Dupri and more.

These upcoming projects join Perry’s currently running productions, which include Beauty in Black on Netflix and Tyler Perry’s Duplicity on Prime Video.
