Diddy’s Legal ‘To Do’ List Just Got Longer As Feds Add More Charges

The legal situation surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs has intensified significantly with the filing of a third superseding indictment by federal prosecutors in his New York federal case. This development adds two new and serious charges to the existing list: sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

According to TMZ, these newly added charges to Diddy’s indictment stem from allegations spanning from 2021 to 2024, involving an individual identified as “Victim-2” in legal documents. The outlet reports that these added charges indicate that prosecutors are building a case alleging a pattern of criminal behavior that extends over a long period of time.

In response to these new charges, Diddy’s legal team has issued statements clarifying their position. They assert that these do not represent new accusers or previously unknown allegations. Instead, they maintain that the charges pertain to the same individuals with whom he engaged in consensual relationships.

“These are not new allegations or new accusers. These are the same individuals, former long-term girlfriends, who were involved in consensual relationships. This was their private sex life, defined by consent, not coercion,” the statement reads.

The defense team states that Diddy’s interactions with the alleged victims were part of their private sex life.

Many may assume the victim is Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, Combs’ former on-again, off-again girlfriend of 10 years, due to her public lawsuit filed and settled in 2023. However, she is believed to be “Victim-1” in Diddy’s indictment legal paperwork. The identity of “Victim-2” has not been publicly released.

With the addition of these new charges, Diddy now faces a total of five criminal counts. These include two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and one count of racketeering.

As previously reported, Diddy has entered a plea of not guilty to the previous indictments, and the trial is currently scheduled to begin on May 5th. The music producer attempted to receive bail several times, but was unsuccessful. He went to great lengths, offering his homes as collateral and isolation from anyone but his attorneys. As a compromise, he received a laptop to help with his research for the trial. This trial is expected to be highly publicized, given the gravity of the accusations and Diddy’s prominent status.

Federal prosecutors have indicated that they expect four accusers to testify in the trial. The prosecutors also allege that Diddy used his power and prestige to induce women into sexual acts. They are also alleging that he used his business empire and employees to victimize women, hence the racketeering charges.

As BOSSIP reported, Anthony Ricco, who was one of the disgraced music mogul’s five attorneys, withdrew from the case in February 2025. Many assumed his decision was because of the potential heinous details of the case. However, it was later revealed that Ricco could not get on board with the defense strategy. Lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo and Ricco butted heads often and didn’t agree on much.

Nevertheless, both legal teams for each side are preparing for what will be a complex and highly watched trial.
