Washington’s National Gallery of Art is showcasing the horrific 1963 Birmingham Church Bombing. Just two days after Dr. Martin Luther King’s March on Washington, the Ku Klux Klan bombed a church, killing four young African-American girls. The same day, two African-American boys were murdered. Dawoud Bey, the exhibit’s artist has a unique way of photographing events he never witnessed. He joins Soledad O’Brien to discuss “The Birmingham Alabama” and race in America.
