Aurora Village 1987 and 1991

Opened in 1960, Aurora Village was a mall in what’s now Shoreline, Washington. It closed in 1992, after Nordstrom (which opened in May 1974) left that year and Frederick & Nelson (which opened in 1963) left the year before. At its peak, Aurora Village had 60 stores, according to the Shoreline Area News. It also had a Woolworth and a beloved caramel corn store in the 1960s. It was demolished in 1963 and is now the site of Costco, Home Depot and other stores.
