We get it. Your team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year, and unless they focus on getting a top pass rusher or quarterback in the draft, it’ll be a while before they do.
Fortunately, you didn’t have to be a fan of either team in Super Bowl LIX to enjoy one of the best parts of the game–the commercials!
As long as I can remember, the Super Bowl has always been as much about the ads as it has been about the game. Every year, brands throw their best and sometimes weirdest ideas into a multi-million dollar 30-second spotlight, hoping to leave us talking about them long after they clean all the confetti off the field.
I remember watching the iconic Super Bowl classics like the Coke vs. Pepsi wars and the hilarious Budweiser “Whassup” guys, just to name a few. The Super Bowl has been serving us buzz-worthy advertising campaigns even before we knew what going viral meant. Don’t even get me started on talking animals or babies. Seriously, just take all my money.
This year? It was all over the map. We saw ads that made us laugh till our stomachs hurt, others made us tear up a bit and some…let’s just say there were definitely straight-up “nope” moments.
But just in case you missed them, we did the work for you. Let’s dive into the best—and a few cringe-worthy—Super Bowl commercials of 2025.
REESE’S – “Don’t Eat Lava”
If we were giving away awards (we’re not), Reese’s may have taken home the hardware for the most hilarious ad. Also, can someone check up on Granny?
HEINZ – “Mustard X Mustard”
Kendrick Lamar’s GNX is the gift that keeps on giving. So, until relish drops a response track, all we have to say is MUSTAAAAAAAARD!!!!
NIKE – “So Win”
Nike is always top in class when it comes to representing their brand. This time, the ladies lead the way in this spot that includes 2024 EBONY Power 100 honorees Jordan Chiles, Sha’Carri Richardson and A’ja Wilson.
BUDWEISER – “First Delivery”
A masterclass in storytelling, Budweiser did it again. Using the iconic Clydesdale, they gave us the “lil horse that could” tale we didn’t realize we needed.
MOUNTAIN DEW: “Kiss From A Lime”
If the goal was to show us what a mushroom trip looks like, mission accomplished.
TOTINO’S PIZZA ROLLS – “Chazmo Finally Goes Home”
Not really sure why this ad featuring our favorite Detroiters made us laugh so hard, but it was a literal LOL moment. #RIPChazmo
COORS LIGHT – “Slow Monday”
We’ve all been there.
HÄAGEN-DAZS – “Not So Fast, Not So Furious”
Okay, fine. They can keep making these movies.
DORITOS – “Abduction”
Part of an open competition where creators and filmmakers submitted commercials, this ad not only won the opportunity to be shown during the Super Bowl but also one million dollars. Bruh, let me hold sumtin’.
JEEP – “Owner’s Manual”
A long two-minute message about “freedom” and “unity” to hawk your Jeep? Sure, whatever. Getting someone named Ford to do it? Chef’s Kiss.
GOOGLE PIXEL – “Dream Job”
Of course, an ad about A.I. would be the one to leave you with all the feels. That’s how they get you. #ImNotCryingYoureCrying
A few spots made us think, “Nah, that’s not it.” There were too many to name, but here are a couple that did leave us wondering how they got approved.
HIMS & HERS – “Sick of the System”
Something about using Childish Gambino’s “This is America” song in this ad didn’t feel right.
COFFEE-MATE – “New Coffee-mate Cold Foam”
No words.
