Garcelle Beauvais Exits ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ Here Are 3 Times She Kept It Real

It’s the end of an era. Not only did The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills conclude its 14th season run on March 25 with the airing of its season finale, but hours before, Garcelle Beauvais announced her exit from the show.

“Cheers to the next chapter,” Beauvais shared on her Instagram stories, revealing her decision to depart the reality series after a five-year tenure, spanning seasons 10 through 13.

“It’s been a wild ride. Some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened. But it’s been a ride nevertheless.”

The actress and entrepreneur intends to dedicate more time and energy to her family and other professional projects, which include her acting career. She also returns as supermodel Natasha Karina on Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest, which premieres on March 27.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills won’t be the same without Beauvais, who was consistently unafraid to speak her mind and hold her co-stars accountable. In her honor, we revisit three pivotal moments where she kept it real with her fellow Housewives… and with us.

Garcelle confronts Lisa over leaked texts

After learning that Lisa Rinna had leaked texts seeming to confirm an affair between Season 10 stars Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville, Beauvais confronted the actress over her actions, scolding Rinna for not standing by Richards, their mutual friend. Over drinks in Season 11, she told Rinna that leaking the texts was a harsh act and felt Rinna’s actions to quickly “own it” was a cop-out. Beauvais then went in with the killer line, telling Rinna, “the way you were with Denise, how can I trust that you won’t turn around and do that with me.” It was Beauvais making it clear that she wouldn’t stand for false friends who would sell her out for a sensational headline.

Garcelle calls Dorit a “Karen”

In season 13, Dorit Kemsley accused Beauvais of “attacking” her. The star laughed it off at first, but sat down a few days later with Kemsley to explain how she found the exchange offensive and hurtful. “There are certain words, when you point them at me, it has a complete different impact,” Beauvais said. She added that there are three words you don’t say to Black women, “you don’t say agressive, you don’t say attack, you don’t say angry, because that’s labeling us.” Once again, Beauvais wasn’t afraid to speak her mind to stand up against those whose words hurt us, and check behaviors that could potentially put us in a dangerous situation. When Kemsley tried to turn it back on Beauvais, she wasn’t having it. Beauvais said that Kemsley was coming across like an “unconscious Karen.”

Garcelle reprimands Erika over yelling at her son

One of Beauvais’ biggest gripes throughout her RHOBH tenure was with her fellow castmate and singer Erika Jayne. During Beauvais’ birthday celebration in Season 12, Jayne, while inebriated, hit on her eldest son Oliver and cursed out her 14-year-old son Jax, who was grabbing a flower arrangement to take home for his mom. One thing we know for certain is that Housewives across their respective franchises don’t play about is any mention of their kids. As a result, Beauvais rightfully confronted Jayne about her disrespectful behavior toward her child and herself. While Jayne apologized profusely, in the season’s reunion show, Beauvais flat-out exclaimed that Jayne’s actions were wrong. This encounter proved once and for all that if you come for her kids, she’s hitting back at all your faults.

Aside from her heavy-hitting clapbacks, we will miss seeing Garcelle Beauvais’ down-to-earth energy on our screens in this way, but we look forward to all of the upcoming projects we get to see coming down the pipeline!
