Mabel Wilson is part of Columbia University’s African American and African Diaspora Studies Department. This new department will bring a fresh approach to the discipline at a crucial moment in race relations and black identity within our society. Professor Wilson (‘91 M.Arch) also teaches architectural design and history/theory courses at Columbia GSAPP. She is appointed as a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Research in African American Studies.
