Joining Dr. Brown on this week’s African American Legends are Authors, Victoria Bond & T.R. Simon to discuss their book, “Zora and Me”. Topics discussed are the authors’ knowledge of black history as they were growing up, the challenges Zora Hurston faced during her life, and the masterful storytelling of Zora.
African-American Legends profiles prominent African-Americans in the arts, in politics, the social sciences, sports, community service, and business.
The program is hosted by Dr. Roscoe C. Brown, Jr., Director of the Center for Urban Education Policy at the CUNY Graduate Center, and a former President of Bronx Community College.
