Culture Management Group (CMG) has announced the highly anticipated headliners and dynamic programming for Culture Beach Jam 2024, a two-day celebration of African creativity and cultural excellence. Set to transform Accra’s iconic Polo Beach Club into a vibrant hub of music, art and community, the festival will take place December 28-29, 2024, as part of the ever-popular “Detty December” season.

This year’s Culture Beach Jam lineup is a showcase of Africa’s musical powerhouses, featuring performances by Omah Lay, King Promise, DJ Tunez, Kidi, Shallipopi, Joey B, Sabrina, Olive the Boy and Ara the Jay. Adding an element of discovery to the festivities, the AfroFuture Rising Star Challenge winner will also take the stage, giving festivalgoers a firsthand look at the continent’s next wave of talent.

“Launching our new concert series is an incredible milestone, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring this vision to life,” said Abdul Karim Abdullah, CEO and Co-Founder of AfroFuture. “Each year, AfroFuture finds new ways to showcase the beauty and diversity of African culture. Detty December is an electric season that unites people from all walks of life to celebrate our music, art and shared heritage. This series will expand our footprint and amplify the creativity and unity that define AfroFuture.”

In a bid to unite the African diaspora and foster meaningful connections, CMG has partnered with organizations such as Afreximbank, Berry Health, and Verna Water, alongside programming partners Black Health Connect and Distant Relatives. Together, they’ve curated an impactful lineup of pre-festival initiatives designed to empower African creatives and give back to the community.

There will be a host of events for both celebration and education. The Continent Live Music Program will run from December 15-21, 2024, offering a week-long creative retreat for emerging and established artists. Highlights include a three-day songwriting camp, media training and masterclasses on industry topics like contracting and management. The program concludes with a live music showcase in partnership with the British Council.

On December 27, 2024, CMG will host its Annual Community Health Fair at Zurak Park in Madina, providing free health services, mental health consultations and meals to 1,500 attendees through the AfroFuture Feed initiative. That same day, the BAL Celebrity Basketball Game, presented by Hennessy, will light up Bukom Boxing Arena as artists, celebrities and Basketball Africa League players come together for an electrifying match blending sports and entertainment.

Rounding out the festivities is the African Dream Focus Group on December 30, 2024. Partnering with Gensler, this initiative will unite students, industry leaders and government officials to explore strategies for achieving the “African Dream” through collaborative dialogue and actionable solutions.
