Onuorah also ran the camera. “I don’t really like when you have a bunch of sit-down interviews and other people telling other people’s stories; I felt like capturing her day-to-day, and I agreed to shoot it myself because I wanted to have that personal connection and understand her spirit.” The result is a fly-on-the-wall perspective that uses different storytelling forms, like anime, to explore themes of resilience, vulnerability and self-empowerment.
