Amber Rose broke her silence about throwing College Hill hands at Joseline Hernandez after footage of the fight recently leaked.
The model is explaining herself and fortunately, it’s not about why she’s tap dancing for Donald Trump this time. Amber opened up about the other reason she made headlines this year, her schoolhouse squabble with Joseline.
After beefing throughout the season about her Blackness, Amber snapped. Although she’s “not a violent person,” the influencer says the drama took her back to her Philly roots. The Neighborhood Talk shared a clip of the modeling mom reflecting on her fight.
“I grew up in South Philly. That’s no secret… The loudest ones are always the ones that– you know what, she went around. She talked sh*t about me. She said she’d beat me up on several platforms and I just stayed quiet. That’s just who I am. I don’t really care either way. I’m not a violent person,” Amber said.
Although the former BET baddie apparently had her reasons for fighting at the moment, she doesn’t seem proud of it now. Like Naomi and Rihanna shutting down rumors of a feud, Amber Amber focused on the bigger picture.
“I never wanted to have to fight. I’ve never done reality TV. I wish her well. Honestly, I wish her and her husband well and her beautiful daughter,” she continued.
The episode came and went months ago, but the clips of the clash never went public until recently. During the College Hill: Celebrity Edition season, BET issued a statement about the network’s refusal to air the fight. That didn’t stop the never-seen scene from eventually leaking anyway and going viral all over again.
“We remain unwavering in our decision not to air the footage, as our network does not condone violence in any form. Furthermore, we hold the HBCU experience in the highest regard, recognizing its vital role in fostering Black excellence and pride within our community. In alignment with these values, we remain resolute in our decision to omit the scene.”
Shortly after the episode aired, Joseline doubled down on dissing Amber and called her former castmate a “Karen.” Amber opened up about her own struggles with her racial background and where she fit in with different cultures.
The checks political passion must be bigger than her pride because many critics think few things scream “Karen” like her loud and proud support for Donald Trump. She even spoke at the RNC about her endorsement of the recently convicted former president. Unfortunately, there is no shortage of Black celebs who need the money or pardons see themselves in Trump, like Antonio Brown.
