Photographer Chester Higgins joins us to discuss his artistry “making” photographs and displaying humane, empowering and beautiful images of Black America and Africa. Chester’s work can be found in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art.
Chester also discusses his marriage, sharing what he’s learned in life and in therapy that has developed his partnership with his wife into the strong relationship it is today. He coins the term
“emotional spooning” and describes the way they work together in harmony traveling together as photographer and editor.
